Philosophy and Its Contribution to the Progress of Science.

Image
Have you ever wondered and question yourself: who am I? How do we know that we know? What is the purpose of life? What is time? And what is mind?. If so, you've been asking philosophical questions. So, what is philosophy, and what exactly are philosophically questions? Philosophy is the foundation of thinking, which helps us to explore the nature of reality, knowledge, and existence.  But this is small part of philosophy, it is more than this and it has also deeply shaped the science (the way in which science works). From ancient thinkers like Aristotle to modern scientists like Einstein (not only Einstein but list is huge) has guided the science and encourage scientific thinking and ignites the curiosity to explore the existance.  What Is Philosophy?  The word Philosophy is came from the greek words "philos" which means love and "sophia" meaning wisdom.  It is the pursuit of truth (Now, what is truth and how we define truth itself is a philosophical question) o...

Beauty In The Chaos

Image
Beauty In The Chaos I search for beauty in my mind . I find a chaos of thoughts— human existence, consciousness, science, and art . This mess has now become my comfort zone. I dwell in the vastness of the cosmos , wondering: what is this? And how? Why does life exist in such chaos? The most beautiful thing we possess is the ability to experience the world . This is what I call beauty in the chaos. -Om.Mohanty(wave)

A Reflection On Human Progress.

Image
As humans are social animals , they have always sought development, which is evident in our progression from the Stone Age to the modern age. Humans have developed various equipment for hunting to housing and have created its own community. But can there be any limits to our tendency for progress? Or is it limitless?? A key driver behind this unending progress is the human mind —the most complex functional system in the brain. It plays an important role in shaping human tendencies. Look around at the artificial world we live in, where numerous technologies created by humans help in day-to-day life. These range from TVs, mobiles, and satellites to artificial intelligence. All of this is possible because of the power of the human mind. To create something new, one must think deeply about it, which is why thinking is the most powerful tool humans possess at a higher level of consciousness.  You are aware about recent development in AI, Now AI can do more things than older one. It’s be...

Ocean Still But Mind Dance.

Image
Ocean Still But Mind Dance. The Ocean was steady and quiet, Even the Moon was full of orange light. It reminded me to be steady and quiet in Each fragment of my life, Not too dynamic like the mind  But like a quiet song plays in my life. Yet, it's hard to quiet like a monk When you're busy man. I look at my thoughts, feelings and emotions  And aware of it . I don't go anywhere else to  Learn meditation, This world is filled with Charlatan . -- Om.Mohanty (wave) Small Appreciation:  My poem creates a calm and peaceful feeling, just like the quiet ocean and the orange glow of the moon. It reflects on how nature reaches stillness and wishes to bring that clam into everyday life. Due to our busy schedule, often forget that mental health is just as important. Today, many pseudo teachers claim to teach meditation. But instead of going elsewhere to learn meditation, one can simply learn by being aware of t...

Image
What Is  Emotions? Have you ever thought about emotions? What are they? Is it just something psychologycal or it is purely a neural activity?  So, in this essay i would like to address all this questions. Emotions are innate behavior that allow us to  communicate without need for language. Some may argue that the emotions are subjective experiences, shaped by personal feelings and perceptions or some may argue that is neural activity in your brain. So, let's dive into simple definition, Imagine you are randomly roaming around a forest. Unfortunately you see a tiger looking at you! At this moment, you feel "fear" because you start thinking 'what if this tiger harms me?' and so on and this is natural as it has developed throughout the human evolution. The stimulus that causes fear in response to the tiger that is what we call emotions "an emotion of fear". The Evolution Of Emotions. As a result of human evolution, we developed an intrinsic language to ...
